Dr. Hang’s Philosophy on Surgery
My patients know their bodies best. I believe it is their job to describe to me, to the best of their ability, what their symptoms are…what hurts, what doesn’t look right, what doesn’t feel right, etc.. My job is to understand what they are saying, apply it to what we find, and develop a treatment approach which treats the cause of their concerns
It is only by treating causes that I can give my patients what they want most: long term relief of their esthetic and health related symptoms. Few medical opinions elicit more emotion for the patient than a surgical recommendation.
Over the course of my career I have continued to look for and develop conservative, non-surgical treatments that help my patients avoid the risks associated with invasive procedures. I recommend surgery only when I cannot find another way to accomplish the desired result. It’s not a decision that I would take lightly, allow anyone in my family to take lightly, or suggest that you take lightly.
Surgical Solutions – Case Studies
Below, you will find links to videos that feature patients to whom I have recommended surgical solutions. In the videos, they describe what their lives used to be like, what happened during treatment, and what their lives are like now.
