What are the Benefits of Myofunctional Therapy

We use the muscles of our face and mouth for talking, chewing, swallowing, smiling, singing, etc. and don’t usually think a thing about whether or not we are using these muscles correctly. Being certain these muscles are toned and used correctly can help guide the teeth into desirable positions in the growing child, contribute to favorable facial balance with jaws properly positioned, help stabilize an orthodontic result, and even help lessen or eliminate teeth grinding and/or snoring.

Dr. Hang works closely with myofunctional therapists to help his patients attain proper rest oral posture. If you would like to learn more, we suggest visiting the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
