New Patients

We are happy to see children, teens, and adults for a consultation: children who may have crowded teeth, crossbites, or breathe through their mouths; teens and adults who simply want a great smile; people who have had orthodontics and are unhappy with their result; those suffering from TMJ and facial pain; snorers and those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea.

It is important to us that we have time during a new patient consultation to get a thorough health history, an idea of your concerns, and adequate time to explain a treatment plan. Please plan on spending about 90 minutes with us. First, Debbie Hang, our treatment coordinator, will spend some time getting to know you and your concerns. Then, Dr Hang will exam your teeth and jaws, take pictures, and talk with you about how we may be of help.

Frequently Asked Questions

We love questions and will do our best to answer whatever questions you may have. Here are some of the questions we are often asked:

Is there a fee for a new patient consultation?
Consultations for anyone under 18 are at no fee unless the patient is already undergoing orthodontic treatment elsewhere. There is a fee for someone already in treatment or an adult (18 and over). The consultation fee is applied as a credit towards the treatment fee.
What can I expect from the new patient consultation?
Most new patient consultations last about 90 minutes. That gives us the opportunity for a thorough examination, digital pictures (not x-rays), and ample time to answer questions. In most instances you will leave with a treatment plan and fee.
How long will I be in braces?
Many of our treatments are about a year long. It's unusual that our treatments exceed 18 months. We'll give you what we believe to be a realistic estimate of treatment time for your particular situation.
How often will my appointments be?
Appointment intervals can vary from 3-12 weeks depending on the nature and stage of the treatment.
Do braces hurt?
When teeth move there is some discomfort, but lasts usually only a few days.
If I'm traveling to see Dr Hang, what about transportation and hotel?
Patients who fly in to see us use Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) and usually either rent a car or take Uber or Lyft for the 45-60 minute drive to our office. There is a Hampton Inn & Suites Agoura Hills across the street and the Sheraton Agoura Hills next door.
